Need buying advice.

Hello all, this is my first post and thanks for reading. Im looking to get a used 2g eclipse and just wanted some info and opinions. Ive got 2 test drives set up for this weekend. The links to the cars are below, so please take a look.

1st. 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse - CUSTOM PAINT

Has original motor and tranny. Really digging the paint and body kit, but it is a non turbo.

2nd. 1996 mitsibishi eclipse GST

Has new motor and tranny. And is a turbo.

So my questions are: What should I look for when buying a used 2g eclipse?(common problems.) What questions should I ask? If I did go with the non turbo, how much cost am I going to be looking at to increase hp to turbo levels? Is one motor knows to be more dependable to the other?

Really any advice you guys can give me would be great.

Thanks for reading!

The gst is nice. I'm not a fan of fwd at all though. If you're wanting to go fast, then just start out with a turbo car. The 4g63t in Gst's and Gsx's is a way better starting point and is proven to make amazing power.

if you are looking for horse power and as a daily driver, the gst starts out with more anyway and the non turbo will cost a little but from your pocket, (not saying it cant be done)

Gst or Gsx, I like the idea of awd but fwd really doesn't bother me to much but I've never been one to dump the clutch off the line.

But if you are going to get a dsm, get one with the 4g63. take them both for a test ride, start with the non turbo. Then when you jump in the gst you'll be sold. I drove a bunch of GS and rs but when that turbo spooled in my gst I was sold.

I'd say the GS-T, the common issue with these cars is boost leaks.

I would say go for the GST. It just looks much better IMHO.

I don't like the inside of the green one, but if that's your bag..
