Who sells Throttle Body Shaft ?

Hi all,

I need to replace my TB Shaft (destroyed it when removing stripped TB shaft screws). Anyone know where I can buy just the shaft? It's for my 92 TSi..

Thanks

Give Steve Monroe a call. He does amazing things with the DSM throttle body.

^^ I would try here also. Although i am not sure if you can just buy the shaft and screws. Out of curiosity did you grind off the "peened" end of the screw before you tried to remove them? I also didnt use the right phillips head screwdriver, and didnt tap it with a hammer for a better bite on the screw. This is how i mangled my stock 2g TB. Got another one from the junkyard luckily. Lesson learned.

Nope. I did not grind off the end of the screw and stripped them. I may be able to use the old shaft as the threads are still there.

I may just need new screws. Should I just use thread locker or should I flatten the end of the screws with a hammer? What's the best way of going about this?
