TPS Sensor Tolerances

Okay, So I was checking my TPS the other day and I was wondering what are the tolerances for the variations in resistance? Below is the link to the process I used to check it.

because my #'s where off a little. I was wondering how off the #'s had to be to effect the operation of the engine? I mean if the TPS is reading 4700ohms closed and 600 open is that enought to warrent adjustment?Or does that small differance in resistance matter?

Anyone? Does anyone know the answer to this Question? If not I think i'll try posting it in extreme tuner forum.

My TPS is all f'ed up. When the engine gets warm, it's trips the CEL. My car hesitates in higher gears (3rd and 4th... I got an AT ) unless you mash on the gas... I would say adjust the tps with the screws til you get 5K ohms and .09 ohms for high and low respectively. If that doesn't work and you aren't having any problems, who cares.. Try your logger and see what your WOT % reads at If your WOT is 100%, you are good to go..
