evo 8/9 hood vent

after installing my fmic my engine bay temps were way up so i gave this a try, in the hands of a body man it could look a million times better. but it works for this car at this time

the bump difinitely gets in the way but like i said it runs a lot cooler, and its a bit different

I actually don't think it looks too bad. Good craftsmanship and the function is what counts.

But correct me if I'm wrong, what makes the Evo hood vent work well is the bump in front (or sunken vent) which creates a low pressure area when moving. Not saying this won't work, but it would be better if you somehow created a hump in front of the vent. Just a thought.

turst me it could be installed a lot better but its a 10ft look, all i know is it works and the engine bay temp is way down, when the fan comes on it blows the hot air out of the vent. and over all im happy with the way it looks, and its running so much better.
 
apperance wise... not a fan, maybe if it was more like an evo v or vi hood and maybe a bit smaller in size, i'd like it more. but, so long as its keeping that engine cooler, it works and thats what matters. hopefully no water gets in any of your electrical stuff and causes problems. good luck.:thumb:

its working the way i wanted it to, the only thing i need to finish is a shield for the alternator
