Eclipse 02 sensors into Talon?

Ordered a couple Bosch o2 sensors from Rock Auto based off of some links on the forum here... The sensors came in record time too. I had the car up on the hoist, everything pulled out, then referenced the Rock Auto site to see which sensor was upstream and which was downstream... Only to find I had different part number'd sensors than was listed for my car.

Turns out the links I clicked on from here were for a 97 Eclipse awd turbo, and they list different part numbers for the 97 Eagle Talon awd turbo... Basically, I'm wondering if these sensors are interchangeable or what? As far as I understood, the 4g63t eclipses and talons were identical cars, but Rock Auto seems to think otherwise.

Should I be shipping these o2 sensors back, or just trying to install the ones for the Eclipse? Thanks in advance.

They are the same sensor. Sometimes different companies catalog things incorrectly, and that is why they have some different numbers listed. As you can see most of the other brands brands match up but bosch does not.

They are the exact same. Should plug in fine, and you will be good to go.

Well, dammit. I had the car on a hoist and everything was pulled apart and ready to go and everything... The guy at Rock Auto straight up said "We do not recommend mixing and matching parts like this" so I left the original one in and put the car back together and brought it off the hoist. Balls.

Oh well, I guess I'll try it out tomorrow. I didn't even think to check out other companies sensors to see if they match up; good call.

Cross reference to NT. I've received many wrong parts from Rockauto. I always backup with another website before I order. Either their site is wrong or the part in your hand is wrong. Has to be one of the two. I'm betting on the latter.

I don't know what NT is, but I've yet to have an issue with Rock Auto. The part numbers I have though are 13425 and 13417; these are listed for a 97 Eclipse Turbo.

Ohhhh that makes sense then. I figured maybe he was referring to NT as another company, haha.

for as much trouble as its turning out to be, this is why i always get my sensors from autozone, lol. At least that way I can blame it on a dumb parts counter person.

Well, the downstream sensor was identical. Swapped it in, CEL went away, no problems for over a week now.

The upstream sensor, however, not even CLOSE to the same plug/sensor. I'll see if I can get a picture from them first this time before I have them send it out. But yes, apparently the downstreams are the same between the turbo Talon/Eclipse, but not the upstream. Hmm... Makes sense. Not.
