What year shifter cables??????

Ok this problem has kept me out of my car for almost a month and I just need it solved. I have a 95 Talon TSI AWD, I have a JDM 6 bolt swap, and a 2G shifter base ( to my knowledge), I don't know what year transmission but I have a 90's mounting bracket......I bought a set of 2g turbo shifter cables of a member, put them in my car and if shifted like crap, barely could get it in gear so I took them out before I broke anything. I layed the cables next to each other and low and behold the ones I just bought are 1-1.5 inches shorter at the mounting points .

What shifter cables do I need!!! This is a small stupid problem but it makes me wanna torch the car. If a wiseman could step in and solve this quickly I would be very grateful.

This is the stamp on the Trans.

Just measure your original cable and verify the length on your next purchase.

Did that waiting on a reply, after some more digging I realized that I have a 90's mounting bracket on the transmission, so that would mean the 03/90-05/90 model year cable?? Since everything after 06/90 is considered 91+ which all use the same brackets/cables...

Why don't you get the correct bracket for your transmission (which is a '95-'96, by the way) and original cables? Seems a whole lot easier than swapping cables so many times.

The bracket (MD747231) is $20 new from JNZTuning. Did you try contacting MItsubishi Graveyard or Miller Import Parts?

Get the right cables, get the right bracket, be on your way. I would certainly not recommend putting those '90 parts in your 2G.
