My 95 GST project

Im kinda new to the DSM stuff. Ive had this car for 6 years now. Haven't had the time to fix things up, but now I do. The guy who owned it before really rigged a lot of stuff up. Be prepared for a lot of questions coming from me.
Anyways here's her pics:

It ran before I started gutting the old intercooler piping. Now I have to hook that back up along with the air intake I believe to get it started again. Gas has been sitting in there for a while. Hope it starts up. Fingers crossed.

BTW I live in Hagerstown, MD if anyone wants to help lol

Yes, you need the air intake hooked up to start the car. Without the MAF hooked up and air passing through it, the ECU has no clue how much fuel to give the engine.

Looks like your making some progress though!

Im pretty picky with looks and as you can tell this car needs help in a lot of areas like that. I have some plans, but will be waiting to get it started first. This thing blew fire out of the exhaust when it ran

The engine wiring harness and fuse box are crap though. The guy cut a lot of the wires to tap into them. This will probably be the worst part. The interior is pretty much completely gutted as well.

Good luck with the wiring. Mine was pretty much the same when I got it. I gave up and replaced the entire harness. Meh

Yeah, I will eventually get a new harness. The fuse box is broke as well. Still holds fuses, but it is flimsy. How hard is it to install? Also, where do you guys get a lot of parts from online? Im going to a junkyard for most of them, but if I cant find something there where do you usually get parts from? Like performance and/or cosmetic parts?

Honestly a great place to buy used parts is on this site in the marketplace tab. Junk yards are ok for certain things like body parts exct, but your better off buying from a site that has many knowledgeable people like this one. At lest you have a better chance of the part being the right one and actually working. Also on here you have endless tech posts to guide you through the process.
