Question

Replacing A/C Condenser With Intercooler

Ive had my 1997 Gst for 2 weeks now and saving some money to replace things and upgrade others. Im new to the forums and hopefully I can learn more here.

I really like having my sidemount because it gives it that sleeper look but heatsokes real quick as I have heard. I have looked into the MKIV Supra sidemount and is an amzing interooler and cools great but I want something bigger and more sleeper like appearance.

I was looking on Ebay for some interoolers and came across this one vvv

This intercooler is from a Volvo V70.

What I was thinking is taking off my A/C Condcenser out (My A/C does not work ) and putting in an intercooler in its place. I know some intensive modification might be required but im up for the challenge.

I like how the design of this intercooler would be a perfect setup with minimum piping. I know this intercooler wont work, but im thinking something similar.

So my question is, has anyone done this before? I tried serching but cant come up with the rright words I guess.

I want a unique/SS Look. (SS=Super Sleeper)

Well any advice or help would be appreciated. Or if you know anyone who has a writeup about theres. Thanks in advance guys.

Heres the first thing everyone here is gonna tell you as well as myself DO NOT BUY STUFF OFF OF EBAY.
You get what you pay for.
second, I understand the sleeper look, but the advantages of having a FMIC are worth thinking it over.
How many cubic inches do you think a sidemount has, now how many more would a FMIC have over that?
plus not only more volume but better cooling of the charged air. and it doesnt take much doing.

I've been buying intercoolers, pistons, rings, and all kinds of things from ebay for years. Ebay isn't a brand, it is a auction marketplace. You just have to be smart about what you buy.

ebay is like a shopping mall. everything sold inside is owned by a vendor.
