Okay, which go where and what is the purpose of the front two in the picture?
My front roll stop is thrashed and I need to replace it and figured I would do all at once so I ordered this kit. Was hoping to get all inserts like the last 2, does anyone know who sells all 4 like so?

If I remember correctly the back two are for the trans and the bigger ones go on the driver side. They are all different so you can't really mix them up easily.

Here is a good install write-up: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...install-prothane-mounts-drill-saw-method.html

If your roll stop is as "thrashed" as you say you will need to order some OEM replacements and add the inserts that are included with this kit or you can buy a full insert like the others here: 2G DSM Polyurethane roll stops - DSM Classifieds

Yeah ive seen the write ups, just wondered what was to come of the 2 little sets i have towards the front of my pic. Front roll stop is thrashed probably from fuel cut, cant be good. Can anyone confirm the big inserts being for driver side and trans mount? Ill be pulling the motor and want to have all i need at the right time

If your front roll stop is trashed, then you need a new mount..the two little sets just slide into the front and rear mounts.. its easier if you take them off an look at it yourself.. the two big ones are full inserts and need to be installed following those write ups...
You have the right parts, I have them on my GSX, I had them on my 420a. Your good to go..

I can visibly see the mount is thrashed to hell, rubber coming off the side and what not. I'm probably going to order the 2 roll stops off of the site from one of the members, but could/should I use the 2 inserts AND the roll mount stock replacements? Or would that be an overkill and give me super bad vibrations, I hear it's bad enough as is, I'm referring to just the front and rear roll stops in this post

I don't understand what you are saying.. Just replace the worn out front/rear mounts with the stock replacement, and slide the two inserts in them...
Or are you asking about buying these? 2G DSM Polyurethane roll stops - DSM Classifieds
I personally are planning on getting a set in the future.. vibrations are bad at first but its less as soon as they get broken in, plus you get used to it..

If your speaking about the roll stop inserts made by black_gst they replace all the old rubber in the front and rears. You would not be able to use the inserts that are included in the kit you posted because they are shaped to fit into the grove on the stock ones. So its either oem replacement roll stops + inserts OR the prothane inserts sold by black_gst not both.

You can see the differences in this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/cus...thane-front-rear-roll-stops-motor-mounts.html as posted by gofer.

Perfect, thank you
Is there any additional use for the inserts? I'll just use the prothane inserts from black_gst

Yeah what the two guys above are saying, not to mention the vibrations are really not that bad. I think the people who says it is are exaggerating. I have solid passenger + front with polyurethane on transmission side and a rear that I'm to lazy to replace and the vibrations are not that bad. You will notice it at first but you quickly get use to it.

I could be mistaken but I thought he only makes a certain amount of batches at a time and once its over its over until the next?

The vibration doesn't/wouldn't bother me in a bit, knowing my engine isn't trying to jump out of the damn frame as it is now. I'm just wondering what the inserts can also be used for, black_gst said they could be used for door jams LOL

If you do not need them put them up on the classifieds here. If they are cheap enough somebody will find a use for them.

Chances are i'll pay more for shipping and paypal fees than what I get back from them LOL, I might can pawn them off to a fellow dsmer locally for like $20.
He said he has a batch atm though, I'd better reserve a set

Another thing people do is use polyeurethane that comes in little bottles, Fill up your motor mounts, with the oem rubber still in it, then install the inserts. Many people have had positive feedback with this.

This is what I did. 3M Window Weld. The stuff is basically liquid polyurethane. It worked out great. Stiffened it up pretty good.

Unrelated, where is a good place to start learning about the electrical system of a car? From basic to intermediate/advance, that's the one area of the car I'm a little shy of knowledge with

Those mounts are actually pretty good me and all my dsm buddies have them, the bigger ones go on drivers side and transmission side. Small ones are for the front and rear, the oem black rubber needs to be completely removed to put the red inserts in. Throw all 4 mounts in a fire, I'm not joking, throw them in a fire to get the black rubbers out, or you can do it the pain in the butt way and chisel them out.

Fill them with forsch liquid urethane, did it to mine since I was in the same position and the inserts were getting squeaky. There is a write up in the tech section I followed for this. It worked amazing and only cost me 33$ from mcmaster carr, and only needs a day to cure, much better than the window weld, which I hear falls apart over time if you layer it in or ends up taking a week to dry if you fill it in one shot.

A lot of people have that set up, they even have full energy suspension bushings/solid mounts/solid diff bushings shaking isn't that bad just do it.
Also every car reacts different when you remove the Balance shaft.

I mean on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst shake, I'm hoping it's only 6 or so. Just want to know how bad it will be on my dd.

i havent read the posts before this one, but i have polly mounts and it does shake a bit.. not as much as you would expect but its MAINLY my steering wheel that will rattle but i also have 272/272 cams... its just perfect for a DD car... solid motor mounts on the other hand, probably not so much. i DD my 450HP dsm with pollys

The small insert mounts are for the front and rear sub frame motor mounts. the larger thicker ones are the trans, and Timing case side mounts (passenger and driver side mounts)
