Here's the issue.....my car has been sitting for over a year with very little gas in it due to a blown turbo. I finally replaced the turbo and started the car and it fired up. It was started a few more times while I completed a few finishing repairs. I decided to put some new gas in it and start it again, but this time I forgot it was in first gear and my car stalled. When it stalled it jerked forward pretty hard and now it won't start. The fuel pump is not turning on. I thought maybe it was a shut off feature that most cars have but Ive read through the forums and realized DSM's do not have this feature. Is it possible that my fuel pump or its relay just happened to go bad. It sounded like it was starting normal until it stalled and it was running fine the day before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey your issue reminds me of one i had not to long ago. just go along with it and you will understand why I'm asking all the questions I'm about too.
First did you remove the battery tray or delete anything to do with the battery tie down in the engine bay?
Second have or did you relocate the MPI 30A fuse? or did you just bolt it back to the positive of the battery terminal?
Third have you spliced any wired together from or to the MPI computer under the dash?
If you didn't tie down the battery properly and left the 3 fuse fuse box which contains the MPI 30A fuse bolted to the positive terminal the this might have happened.
you left the car in gear and it jerked forward. the sudden forward momentum slammed the battery forward smashing or cracking one of the 3 critical fuses needed to power the car. since you believe its the fuel pump then you might have messed up the 30A MPI fuse.
about the wiring, check to see if any of the wires are loose, or broken. you might have to use a multimeter. let me know whats going on happy to help you track this puppy down
