where to install fuel pressure gauge?

Looking at an in cabin glowshift fuel pressure gauge, was wondering where you're supposed to install the threaded electrical sensor? I don't have my factory fuel line & filter with the banjo bolt, just braided hose with -6 An fittings so i.can't just do a regular fuel pressure test.

Get a -6an union fitting with a 1/8" NPT port on it and mount it between the fuel rail and your fuel pressure regulator.

Ummmm personally I would NEVER install a Fuel type gauge in the cockpit for any reason...hear me out here...say you get into an accident and somehow there is fire and that gauge is nuttin but fuel to the fire
yes I know that I'm getting far fetched however there is a remote possibility that this could happen...
just put it on your Fuel Pressure Regulator since all it does is show your fuel pressure and it shouldn't move at all...besides it looks cooler under the hood...

I don't know if its possible but, Maybe you could hook up an electronic sending unit from the FP gauge and run it into your cockpit that way so its more safe.

The gauge is just wires that run to the sending unit. Its not a fuel filled gauge. Yes they wire up just like any other gauge. I had one on a 1g. I dont see the risk of a fire with no fuel in the gauge itself.

There are electronic fuel pressure senders just like there are electronic boost, oil, and nitrous gauges. No fluids crossing the firewall.

Ok I have mine on the FPR under the hood and I pictured in my mind a line like a boost gauge filled with gas running into the cockpit...sorry my bad...once again I come across as the village ID 10 T...

So i guess glowshift fuel pressure gauges cant be used on dsms? There's no where to thread into for fuel supply.

Don't understand why it's so much hastel to check fuel pressure for these things, i guess since there's no service port on the fuel rail.

If you have -6an line coming up to the fuel rail, then just get one of these.

-6an male to -6an female union with a 1/8" NPT port. The fitting is about $12-20 depending on the brand you get.
