This deals with a 99 Eclipse GS.
Well, last night we worked till about 3am on the car. We tried for several hours to get the crank sprocket off. It just wont budge. The book says that it should just gently pull off and that if it doesn't, then use the harmonic balancer puller to get it off. Well, we probably had about 500 foot pounds of torque on this damn thing. It didn't come off, nor did it breakk. We lubed it, heated it up and yelled at it. We are at the point were we want to cut it off and just replace the damn thing.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
