Hi tuners!!!!!!

Can some tell me details about the fp manifold for a 96 gst how it works.
Is that truth that it over heats so I will have to wrap it, coat it, or buy a shield?, so how bad will be if I buy it runs buy itself?

Do I need a new set of bolts or I can reuse my stock ones?

I have my stock turbo for now, but eventually I will get a Evo lll 16g one.

I don't race I just want my car faster little by little!!!!

thanks everyone for all your help!!!

The best way to make your car a little bit faster, is removing restrictions, intake exhaust. I would also follow this if you want to upgrade you car:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/2g_dsm_turbo_upgrade_path

Yes money can definately be spent elsewhere. If you were a 1g guy I would tell you to upgrade to a 2g manifold. Since you have a stock T25 as you stated this probabaly wouldnt benefit you much since those turbos are tiny. If you want more power or better response port your exhaust manifold and turbo exhaust housing with a $40 Harbor Freight die grinder and stone and youll feel a difference.

You would get 0 gains with the stock turbo, and once you upgrade to a new turbo, the gains you would get from it would be MINIMAL compared to other upgrades to your car that you NEED for a bigger turbo such as fuel system/FMIC/cooling, Tuning.

Hold off.

+1 for porting the 2g mani. They will take you into the 400whp range. Its not a WASTE of money, but damn close to it at this point.

You can use a heat shield with the Fp mani. JMF used to make them but stopped. I have one for sale in the classifieds. Pm me for details.

There are no threads on the mani for a heat shield.

You would get more gains if you had a bigger turbo. I have a small 16g. If you found one for a good deal then get it.

Like stated above if your getting it to "feel" a difference, don't waste your money. Best thing for you without supporting mods would be intake and exhaust, or a 14b and install kit. You could also follow the upgrade path here ;).
