new guy here. my car is a 1997 eclipse turbo 5 speed. my problem is that i get vibration and noise on take off. i can take off slowly and everything will be smooth as can be. it only happens when i on acceleration. i have replaced the transmission mount on top and the motor mounts (all of them needed it) an it still does it. am i missing something? is there another mount or a dog bone type mount i am missing? thanks guys

Check your suspension. Look for play in ball joints, bushings ect..

Where is the vibration coming from? Also, did you use Poly inserts for the engine/trans mounts? If so, they can be a little rough and cause some vibration.

If it feels like a fast engine speed vibration, I would check your front and rear roll mounts. If its a slower vibration like wheel speed, I would check your axles.

It is not in the suspension at all. The vibration is the kind u would get if the engine was solid mounted. It does seem like the engine moves and comes in contact to make with car while accelerating. Like i said, i can take off slowly and everythingn will be smooth as can be.

+1^ Tricky to do (with practice you'll get it) but set parking brake, then try with right foot to hold both the brake pedal down (don't let car move) and press the gas (to around 2-3k). Then while someone is watching engine (you might see under windshield hood opening also), use left foot to quickly let clutch up enough to catch and then press it down again to see if engine rolls significantly. Do this a few times while watching. The idea is to not let the clutch out enough to fully engage but enough to put stress on the engine enough to make it roll. A slight roll is normal but if a roll stopper is shot you'll see excessive movement. :sneaky:
