help identifying this oil port on the head?

Hey everyone I just got the engine to start up for the it's first 5-10 seconds and I turned it off just to check everything out, and alot of oil squirted out the head

It's a threaded hole next to the thermostat housing, and right below the half moon on the head. This is a new 2G head, I don't remember this port being on my old head, or where this port would even feed on a 2G? I thought only the 1G's had an oil feed that came from the head, for the turbo, where as mine gets fed from the filter housing.

I have a correct size bolt for this threaded hole, but I wanted to double check if I had everything connected right, didn't know if plugging it would cause any oil related problems inside the head.

I plugged mine when i ran it from the ofh, now its back on the head, it posed no problem for me, i cant see it being a issue many block it off when they use the oil filter housing for the turbo oil feed.

oh okay so this IS just an additional turbo oil feed? good to know I can bolt it off

Yep i blocked mine off a long time ago, and used the ofh.

You be fine a long as the bolt does not go into the oil galley and blocks oil flow to the cams/HLA
