I need to adjust my TPS and from what I've read a need to put a feeler guage of 0.0177" (0.45mm) between the stop screw and the lever that opens the throttle.....thing is mine doesn't have the stop screw on it so I'm not sure how much I should open it to set the TPS

Does anyone know what the size would be without the stop screw on it so I can adjust it?

Thanks

I would use multimeter to set TPS, like you do with dsmlink. Its an easy procedure from what I remember. And remember to get your IPS just right so your car can idle good. All procedures are online. And on ecmtuning.com

Why doesn't it have a stop screw? Is it because you have a 1G throttle body or because the original Fixed SAS (stop screw) is missing?

I bought the car like that but it seems as tho there should be a screw there but its missing

And this is a pic of where I believe the screw is missing

I would go to the hardware store and get a bolt and nut that threads into that first, than set the throttle plate adjustment, than the tps.

Yes, that is what the set screw does, it holds the throttle plate open just enough so that it doesn't bind in the throttle bore.

ok so that's why everytime I let go of the gas pedal after WOT and try nd press it again it feels like its getting stuck

That would be why, LOL. IT can get real annoying after a while. As i said, you can go to the hardware store and get a machine screw that will thread right in there and lock nut for like a dollar.

I believe that it is 2 and 1/4 turns past flush. I will look thru my manual and verify that though.

1 1/4 turn after first contact with the pulley according to my 95 FSM.

Make sure the throttle cable is loose before adjusting.

Ok, so I did a lot of research. The thread is 5mm x 0.5mm. I can't find them though. The only place that can get them is a Mitsubishi dealership that's 3 hours away and they have to order it. Anyone know where I can get them?? Please help, this is my daily driver and I can't drive it cause my throttle body out, my tps is not adjusted and I need this screw so a can set it.

Either go to a salvage yard and take one from a galant throttle body or order it from jnz tuning or any other online dealership.

I'll try jnz now. I would have ordered it from the dealer but he wanted me to go there to pay for it and then $15 for shipping.

Edit: Yeah, I'll try a junkyard. Gonna cost $20 from jnz. Retarded, Its a 50 cent bolt
