Unfortunately it looks like I have a radiator leak/ hole somewhere, some Auto zone products helped it out for a while but I think getting a new radiator would be best.

I've been trying to look on eBay & Google (everywhere else too) for Mishimoto radiator's for a Non-turbo 1998 Eclipse (420a - automatic transmission)

I found this on their site:

Mitsubishi Eclipse Performance Aluminum Radiator 1995-1999 Turbo, by Mishimoto

But at the bottom it says:

Note: Turbo Applications Only

Note: This item is for Manual Transmission vehicles. For automatic applications, please purchase optional Mishimoto transmission cooler (P/N: MMTC-U)

Does Mishimoto make radiators for 420a automatic vehicles or should I go with another vendor, and if so who's the best?

The Dodge Neon 95-99 Mishimoto radiator might work. You might need to change the hoses a little to get a nice fit.

It says it fits engines with the codes A588 and 420A. Since 2G's have the 420A, it should work. Take a look.

Dont buy it right away though! Research it a little more.

I know Fluidyne at one point in time made a direct fit radiator for 2G 420A Eclipses. They are hard to find, though.

Thanks for the advice but I'm looking for something that will surely work without a lot of modifications & stuff, IE - probably the exact same radiator I have now or a very very similar one.

Hey thanks for that URL, but I went there already and only saw this one:

This appears to be a metal one? Mine I'm currently running is mostly Aluminum with some plastic on the top I believe so I'm not sure if this will be a good replacement??

The majority of aftermarket radiators such as, Fluidyne, Koyo,Mishimoto and Mizu are made for M/T. It's hard to find for A/T unless you want to replace it with OEM.

ask anyone, the radiatorbarn one I linked is far superior to the stocker and should suit you fine until you get into some really heavy mods

I can tell you I love my radiator from there and have heard nothing but good things, but I don't know enough about turboing the 420a to give you that much advice on it.

Thanks yeah the turbo and or nitrous setup will be ready very soon so I think I need an aluminum decent one, not anything too high performance I'm not going to make 400whp anytime soon maybe just in the 200s

Any credible members know where I can get An Aluminum 420a automatic radiator?

You could make 200 whp with just nitrous, or just a turbo. You don't need both. Your not going to find a direct fit all aluminum radiator for a 420a DSM. Your best bet is a Manual Trans radiator, and an external tranmission cooler.

You can get a universal external transmission cooler at Advance Auto for less than 40$.

Yes I know this, my plans is nitrous first then add a good Turbo setup later once I have enough funds.

Just bought a new radiator from Autozone for $105 so hopefully this little Spectrum premium will last me a while :) any1 here bought one of these before?

I know this is a month later, but I JUST purchased a Spectra Radiator, however, next time you should look at RockAuto.com first, instead of AutoZone. I payed 82.xx to get the same exact radiator shipped to me.
