Recirc 38mm options

I'm looking for options to recirculate my tial 2 bolt 38mm wastegate. I wanted to run it off the o2 but I've read the the Punishment Racing o2 housing for the 2 bolt won't clear the fans. The threads I've read about it are from 2009, anyone know if they modified the housing to fit with the fan? And what other options do I have to recirc. my wastegate, custom fabrication? Thanks

I know a guy at MAPerformance that does great recirc external gate housings. I work there and he's doing one up for my next car. If you check the "latest Fab at MAP" thread, there's a pic of one in there. I am not positive on the fan clearance issue, haven't gotten that far yet haha.

My buddy's got the 2 bolt PR one on his car and there's no way in hell a fan is fitting in front. He just put the fan on the condenser since he's still got A/C.

I have the punishment o2 with 38mm mvs wich is smaller in design than the 2bolt and i can tell you that it hits the stock fan. I had to cut a plate off the back of the fan and bash in one of the supports alittle bit, I'll post a pic later if I have time, It also hits the altinator...

I hope my maperformance mvs wont, they told me that it will clear both the alternator and my slim fan.

This one isn't mine actually. It is a piece going into stock here. Mine is going to be MVS recirc. I'm ordering up all my 2.4 stuff here soon, so will be a couple weeks before I get it together.

Do you have any info on how the clearance will be? Very interested because the tube coming from the wg hole is so much shorter.

Going to lunch with the fab guy who made it today, I can ask him about clearance issues and get back to you!

Talked it over with him, and he has never seen issues with them hitting the fans. He says they are a pain to make, but they fit very nice.

Would imagine they would be about the same pricing wise, not positive though (not a sales rep). It does seem website pricing is a bit high, I didn't think they were that much, thought they were more around 300.

^^I have a dump now on my 16g, at first it was kind of cool but now I'm starting to dislike it. When I get everything on my list and put my Holset on I don't want to be hearing the dump, I want to hear that turbo.

Both in the case of the 2 bolt on my friend's car.

Well from this, I'll say that's a point for the MAP one. I need to order one at the end of the month. I'd like it to bolt on without too much fuss.

You gotta pay to play man. Quality parts/craftsmanship isn't cheap.
