problem starting..timing?

i changed my head because i had bent valves and when i was doing that i also ported it and 3 angle valve job and a fmic i put it together and now itwont start. didnt hav spark so i changed the coil and got spark but then my fuel pump went out so ichanged the fuel pump and now i got fuel. when i crank it the stock boost gauge goes to about 3 or 4 pounds and the rpms go to 200 then down then to 200 over and over. is it timing? ima check the compression tomorrow when i get time.

Did you lap the valves to the head? Definitely check the compression.

Do a boost leak test if you haven't already, if it passes then move onto the following to check timing.
First check that you installed the CAS correctly instead of 180* out, the picture below is how it should look when its lined up correctly.

Check mechanical timing since you pulled the head, hopefully you lined everything up correctly and didn't bend anymore valves trying to start it. Compare your results with the pictures of the cam gears and crank pulley, both are where they need to be when the engines at TDC. Post pictures of your own if you aren't sure about it...

i didnt do the porting or the valve job. isent it to a machine shop

imma check the cas then the timing.
