help with clutch

I am a newbie to this forum and i have a question with my clutch. Whenever i am driving and i shift from any gears my clutch pedal sticks a little before coming up all the way. I bled the clutch a couple times and it still does it. I dont know how to adjust the rod or how the fork or anything works, so i was wondering if anyone can help me out with that. I also watched the vids of the guy working on the clutch, i think it was jack or something and i was confused on what to do. any help please and please refrain from the harsh comments and search. thanks

This is normal, there's a collector that slows the clutch pedal that you can remove (instructions on vfaq and plymouthlaser.com and probably here).

Get under your clutch pedal and look towards the top of the pedal where the firewall is. You'll see a big bolt. Loosen that bolt and then you can take a small wrench to turn the "rod" clockwise or counter-clockwise. If I recall correctly, I believe it is a 12mm nut and a small 1/4" wrench to turn the rod. You may have to turn it counterclockwise to make the pedal come up a little.

Your clutch slave or your master might be going out too, but adjust the pedal before you do anything else. If you get a chance get under your car and take the rubber boot off on the slave cylinder. If you see any fluid in the boot or on the slave rod, the slave is shot and needs to be replaced.

While you are adjusting the clutch pedal, look at the master cylinder boot too, if you see any fluid near it or around it, it's a sign of a bad master cylinder and needs to be replaced. Keep in mind that sometimes they have internal leaks too without any signs of external leaks.

Ok so im confused. i loosen the bolt on the side of the pedal assembly and then adjust the rod to what? Until it is all the way out? also i have a new mc. i think i might just bleed the clutch and see what that does? what is the collector youre talking of? thanks for the help.

also that guys just too confusing for me when im trying to do the work on the car. ha. i have always done the work on my car just im trying to learn this stuff also. but its confusing me.
