Ss whats the deal with 2g eclipse sitting uneven? drivers side is always lower than passenger side?

Anyone figure out a way around this without getting coilovers?

Ive got tanabe df210 springs and passenger side is right at about 2 finger gap and drivers side is at 1 and half finger.

Its really annoying.

Should I just learn to deal with it or is there an easy fix?

All components have been checked and everything is installed right. I've read its pretty much just the way the weight of the car is that causes it.

thanks!

Ok so i've researched and it seems its normal for the eclipse to lean to the left (driverside)

Has anyone found a way to fix this without changing to adjustable coilovers?

maybe using spring boosters or something on the drivers side to raise it to match passenger side?

Its not too big of a deal but it bugs the hell outta me.

Hum that's odd. My clipse slammed on teins sit okay and evenly. But since you mention that I do remember my civic passenger side sitting lower, that was because the tranny was on that side- so many had clamed.
Did you try switch the springs or whatever you have around to see if it makes a difference?

I did try swapping the springs left to right and it made no difference so its not the springs sagging. Im on Tanabe df210 springs,

just wondering if anyones ever did anything to fix it besides getting coilovers?

I heard somewhere that the curved control arm on the passenger side, the bushing can be flipped and that would even out the front ride height, but I havent really heard too much about it. any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks
-Jesse

My 1g Talon did it, my Camaro does it, my buddy's 2g Eclipse does it. Bugs the piss out of me.

In my old eclipse (96gs) I had the same issue. Even with passengers it always happened. My theory is the same as someone posted above, that for 11yrs mostly the drivers side has been used , so it sags a bit. It may not be the springs, maybe the struts are sagging? It could also be you put the springs too tight on just one side.

Ha this kinda makes me laugh because I can imagine how annoyed I'd be with this. Fortunately, I've never had this issue with any of my 2Gs.

I would probably agree with Crash89 about the driver side getting more wear on it, especially if you normally drive alone. Definitely still seems odd to me though haha. Sorry I couldn't be more help... good luck finding a solution.

this may not applie to you but is it possible that you have the rear springs on the p/s side and the front springs on the d/s.
I know my lowering springs are 1.9 in rear and 2.1 in the front

Like absolute DSM says you may need to find a bigger girlfriend. But i am with you that would bug the crap out of me. Or try some new springs.

The springs arent the problem, i swapped the driverside springs with the passenger side and it still sit lower on driverside. so that rules out sagging or uneven springs.

Doesnt anyone know if the upper control arms being worn out could cause unevenness? I replaced my lower arms but the uppers havent been changed, they look in ok shape tho.

Fat Chick in the passenger seat is the only thing I can think of.

Seems like every car I have ever owned did that. I allways thought it was because they were all 2drs and all impractical, and no one ever rode in the passenger's seat. There for it just over time made the springs sag on the drivers side.

The only thing that controls ride height is your springs. Therefore i would bet money that something is bent or broken...
