Do you know the actual turbo? 14B, 16G, 20G, etc

There's no reason why going above 6000rpm would blow your turbo, that's just ludicrous.

I agree. I think you need to looking to how your turbos are functioning. Mitsu turbos are oil and coolant cooled. The reason they are coolant cooled is for the masses who do not let they turbo cool down when they come to a stop before they turn off their car. I think that there is a problem with your oil feed maybe. Maybe your turbo is being starved of oil and coolant.

Where are you feeding you turbo from. The oil filter housing? It could be too high of a pressure there for your turbo. You might need a restriction filter. I feed mine off the head, have done so forever and never had a problems. Its the way mitsu designed it for their turbos. Aftermarket is another topic.

I would send your turbo out to get rebuilt. while they are rebuilding it, I am sure they can find out why it failed. Marking of scoring for oil starvation, leaking seals etc. jusmx141 rebuilds turbos and does a great job, really caters to your needs. Also, are the rebuild components oem, who makes it. I would make sure these parts are reputable. It doesn't sounds like very reputable parts if you can not rev over 6k rpm with these components.

goodluck

Yea there is definitely something fishy going on. Are you feeding it from the OFH or the head?

It's possible that the pressure relief valve in the OFH is gummed up or stuck, causing oil pressure to get out of control above 6000rpm. It's happened before.

Feed the turbo from the head using a 1G factory oil line, or from the filter housing with a .075" restrictor in place, and use a factory 1G or 2G (with holes slotted) oil return. It sounds to me like you're giving the turbos too much oil pressure at wide-open throttle and that's what is killing them; possibly there's some type of drainage restriction as well.

Turbos aren't really RPM-based...once full spool is reached and the wastegate is open, it doesn't matter if you're turning 3800rpms or 7800rpms, the same load is on the turbo, and the same airflow will be generated. This is what leads me to believe you're having some trouble with oil pressure.

ok i will have to look were the feed line is comeing from all i know is that the guy who owned it couldnt find any oil lines for the turbo so be built the oil lines out of the smallest brake lines u can buy i would like to change that to the right kind of oil lines. But to tell you about what size the turbo is i dont know all i know is is that its a stock td05 turbo im going to send the turbo out to get rebuild but thanks i will look and see were its comeing from but were can i get the right size lines at all the ones i can find is the braided oil lines would that work or no

That's scary.

Couldn't find an oil line for TD05H? Does this guy live on some sucluded island or something? Hell a quick eBay search turns up 30+ possibilities.

The ignorance of some never ceases to amaze me....he we're talking about a guy who would rather make six trips to a parts store fabbing his own shitty, leaky oil line instead of buying the right part for $30 and waiting a day or two for it to show up.

alright cool i will do that thanks

so jusmx141 you know how to rebuild turbos how do you do that or can i send you mine cause i want to get it fixed as soon as possible so i can get my car on the road

Should have never even touched the car..

what size the turbo is i dont know all i know is is that its a stock td05 turbo
Look at the compressor housing and look up the numbers on it.

were can i get the right size lines at all the ones i can find is the braided oil lines would that work or no
You can find them from any vendor, or any shop that carries DSM parts. The braided line is the recommended line. You should really do some searching and reading..

And spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation...

ok well i think i found why my turbo keeps blowing the seals when i put a rebuilt TD05H on my car i looked down and saw that the guy had it before me replaced the coolent line with brake line as well as the oil feed line. the coolent line was bent shut. I am replacing that with braided line now . but if the line is shut and the coolent cant flow threw would that be the problem why i keep blowing my turbo cause i moved the oile feed line back up to the head.
