Hi guys

My check engine sign is lit , i know that its because i have no Catalytic converter installed due to my newly installed exhaust

But im a little worried that maybe there are some other errors ( just finished building from auto to manu tranny and throwing in a completely new engine )

For instance i took it for a spin just now, drove it around 60-70mph then stopped. The car instantly almost died and the red oil lamp was lit for about 1 sec , so there's something fishy going on

I called Mitsubishi Norway and they couldnt help me, they dont have the Eclipse in their Diagnostic Tool system nor would they install it to help me.

Is there a reasonable tool i can use to check my errors , or should i just get a logger ( doesnt that show errors msg's in addition to the tuning-abilities? )

cheers

cool thnx

so i just buy Evoscan from evoscan.com , buy a VAG cable and plug it into my car , the run diagnostic?

( I've got the Haynes repair manual so all the errors codes are explained there if they're not explained by evoscan )

Great

one more thing while im at it

me not having a Catalytic converter would cause a Check Engine right? Since the o2 sensor senses that the chemical balance in the fuel is not correct...am i correct?:p
