the one on the left is single layer and has a larger diameter hole.

the one on the right is triple layered with a smaller diameter hole which is off set.

Here is what the kit lists these parts as, not sure which is which.

Turbocharger exhaust gas inlet hole

Turbocharger exhaust fitting.

Lastly the 14b had a round metal insert between the manifold and turbo. this insert will not fit in the 16g. is it imperative to include this piece or can i omit it. thanks for any help!

The single layer (left) gasket looks like the one that should be used between the exhaust manifold and turbo, just make sure that the gasket isn't a smaller diameter than the turbo inlet. You can eliminate that round metal insert you got from the 14b, its not necessary now you've got the 16g going in.
If your gaskets are composite material I HIGHLY recommend using Copper Spray-A-Gasket on them to prevent exhaust leaks. Copper Gasket Sealant

the smaller one is for people with auto cars that have a 13g turbo with the smaller inlet i believe. you only need the one.

thanks for the help.trying to get the turbo in today not looking to wait for parts. I know I should of just ordered the gaskets. Ill roll with the single layered gasket and some copper rtv. Looking forward to getting back to stock boost.

Would you give it a try to get some Felpro brand again if ever? I'm sure that sometimes you might resort to something cheaper but then again, try to see how long will it last. Hope that all will be well by now.
