Any tips would help im trying to like build my car because i buy anything. I was even thinking of picking up a 6bolt from junkyard/craigslist and rebuilding it how i want then when its done ill swap everything. but i might just use my motor.

all the "not sure's" i was looking for alot of tips mainly in. and also everything else

I would go with some different came. Probably alteast BC 272's if your going the brain crower route. A nice holset hx40 even in the bolt on housing will get you 500+whp.

alright about this Hx40 turbo. i just looked it up and from the way there explaing it...it sounds like an amazing turbo. what exhaust mani would work with this? it didnt really say anything about needing one kind of mani for it. also would you just buy that stright from cummin?
 
Get what the b.e.p mitsu housing?? You can either get them direct from Bullseye Power or Slowboy Racing or Tim's Turbo. Supposing the batch are coming out today and mailed the Vendors.
 
Intake mani - not sure JMFab makes some nice pieces...but you may be able to get it with the 1g intake...:hmm:

Valve springs/valves - not sure I'd go with kiggly or FP beehives...maybe more than you need, but isnt' it always better :hellyeah:

pullys - Ps/ac/alt/waterpump pullys new not sure with brand not sure if it matters with them.
Ditch PS, AC, and just keep the alt and waterpump.... unorthodox makes a decent pulley I think...but do NOT go underdrive crap....stock oem crank pulley works fine as well....

Fmic - not sure I like the SBR Front mount... I ran it on my old talon...plus you can keep your fogs if you want...(I love my usless fogs :D)

Exhaust - Apexi N1 Dp and exhaust.....Ditch it, the apexi downpipes are 2.5 inch til the flex...then 3 after....megan racing is almost a full 3 inches...only like 2 inches of it is 2.5 inch....:toobad:
Dont forget bout the o2 housing either....A nice tubular o2 works nicely...I like the Punishment racing o2 housing with a TIAL 38mm Recirculated v-band wastegate:rocks:

injectors - Not sure... Id get some FIC's maybe 1150's maybe as high as 1350's not exactly sure how much boost you want to run....

Exhaust manifold..... Toss up any tubular header works well...PR and JMFab would be the place to look....

Brakes...At least upgrade to the 2 piston fronts....AKA the factory big brake upgrade...

axles...will work fine...

Driveshaft....Stock will hit the mark....But aluminum weighes less, less rotational weight.....I'm not sure on how its said but I've heard remove 1 pound of rotational weight equals like 10 lbs being removed from the car...but dont quote me on it.,...New guy on here found a place that will make driveshafts cheaper than what PST, DSS etc want for them....
 
woah eclipse thanks for all of that! i looked up the fmic that u said and my first word was "sexy" haha well ill look into what injectors more and pick out witch look the best.. i herd about the megan exhaust and from all i have see (youtube) apex n1 sounds so much nicer with the bc 272 cams. nice to know my axles will hold up fine was worried about snaping them or something
 
im running 272s in my car right now, and its fine on the street, even in a mostly stock engine. with my 6 bolt ill be using the same 272s (DELTACAM) and the holset hx40 6 blade (69 lbs/min) and 1250cc injectors. my goal is slightly higher than yours, so i would say that youd be fine using all of that stuff.

Like I said before I would ditch the apexi in favor of a megan racing one....trust me....272's on a Megan exhaust is nice...:D:D
 
The bottom exhaust sounds so much nicer imho, plus the megan racing exhaust used the same n1 muffler thats on the apexi....the piping is just much more nice, and cleaner on the megan....Plus its cheaper whats not to like?

The "Holset kit" isnt really a kit...just a buch of items bolted together that work really really well LOL.
 
1. Ditch the BC for either. Hks,kelford,for instead
2.stock. works but I like mishumoto radiators
3.1000cc
4.hx-40 is cheap and makes good power, but I like anything Fp brand
5.kiggly beehives
6.Megan exhaust

I see nothing wrong with the BC 272, also it depends on how much money he is working with since you can get some BC cams for half the price of HKS cams.

it does depend on his budget, but he was asking for opinions on the build. i like to do things right the first time. i have had BC 280's before they were legit for the price tag that was on them. but i make more power on my FP4s that's why i am bias to those and kelfords ...

not trying to argue with you DWR-DSM i know you know your stuff iv been watching your build :)
 
Definitely use Kiggly valve springs. I suggest using 1mm over valves, the absolute best valves are the Ferrea Competition valves. I also like Supertech valves. BC camshafts suck! Run HKS 272 for both intake and exhaust. I am also a big fan of running Forced Performance cams.

I'm not attempting to make this into a cam debate. I didn't see nothing wrong when I made 489awhp onto 21psi with 93 pump and no timing adjustments. I know for a fact if I change my cams over with better springs and retainers, I be looking at more power at 21 psi. Also the Kelfords stats they are 272/272 but they are aggressive like 280/280 cams.

I would never buy BC anything ever again. Yes I'm running BC products now only because I wasn't knowledgable on the better cam/product chocies until later on. :banghead:

BC on the other hand is a good budget(keyword) cam since its half the price, but than again, you get what you pay for:)
