is it possible to do this? by buddy has got a tubualr exaust manifold and stock turbo off his evo 9. i was wondering if i could fit it on a 95 gsx. its a dual ball bearing turbo, i would have to switch it around because of the motors being in the opposite direction. i was just wondering if anyone has tried this before.

They don't fit because they face the wrong way and also run into the block. There is not enough space to add an MAF and intake tube on the wrong side of the engine bay.

This has been discussed in detail so I suggest you do some searching if you would like to attempt it. They are useful for 4g63ts placed into other vehicles with more space.

well my buddy owns a perfromance shop, and he said he could take the manifold, and flip it around to wherever i want the turbo to sit. i was going to have him put it on the top, and flip it around as well so it could fit. will i have a problem with hood clearance if i do the top mount turbo?

no its not, a Evo IX turbos are journal bearings just like the 14b the Evo3 16g and the MHI 20g

No it's not. You're horribly misinformed.

That sounds like too much work for a 16G.

Sure the twin-scroll Evo manifolds and turbine housings are magical, but you could do better by just buying a 20G that was made for a DSM and bolting it to your existing manifold.
