Ok I am having a brain cramp. I had one of these on my original valve cover and didn't know what it was. When I did the head swap I wasn't getting any spark so, immediately I thought CAS because the CPS on the replacement head was broken so the CAS might have been bad. I put the sensors from the old head, because everything worked before, on BUT used the new valve cover which didn't have this on it.

So the question is, What is that black thing attached to the bolt on the first spark plug hole???? Does that relay the CAS to the ECU to tell the injectors to FIRE???? that would make sense why there is no spark because the ECU doesn't know when to fire. help???

Sorry, I couldn't find anything on here about it and I asked a fellow dsmer and he didn't know what it was either...95 and 96s are that weird year I guess.

here is the photo.....

If I'm not mistaken, that is just a little bracket that holds two of your spark plugs wires together. Should have nothing to do with your car not having spark.

ok I had that thought too, I think It was a path for the plugs to run around so that it would line up correctly :( Just wanting answers for this dumb car I want to get it running so badly. I think my CAS is busted going to check it out later this week, I found one on ebay for like $30 so I might pick it up.

It just had a metal piece inside the black plastic wasn't sure if that was important LOL
