420A Brighter Tail light bulb?

So i tinted my tail lights looking for something brighter i know our bulb is 2057 ive been looking around, and ive heard that you can replace our stock 2057 with the brighter 2357, is this true?

I have oem tail lights, not blacked out but I use silver star tail light bulbs.
They are kind of expensive but they definitely are brighter.

Silver star bulbs are a good option i'd say.

Also they make LED tail light bulbs they shine quite nicely though tinted tailights. I had a set on my focus my tails were blacker then sh!t.

Only thing about those is you'll need to go to radioshack and run a resistor inline with it. Which isn't much of a hassle.

The 2357 definitely has a higher candlepower (40 versus 32 of the 2057), but also draws more amperage (.59 per bulb versus .49 of the 2057).
