Well i finally got them on last night and am very pleased with the results. Now i also installed a boost gauge in as well. But i turned the boost down to 15lbs and i notice that when i get on it, it hit's 15lbs of boost then drops down to about 10 or 11lbs... Is this normal? is this why many people upgrade to a 16G turbo ? or can someone explain the reasons OF the upgrade to a 16G ? and how much better it is

Well first a few things we need to know from you.

Be sure to fill out your cars info sheet on your user profile so anyone trying to help can quickly look at your mods.

What style of gauge did you use, was it mechanical or electric. what boost controller are you using. stock fuel pump still? how did you run the vacuum lines for the MBC and the gauge.

should be no reason to go to a 16g yet. and maybe that's not even the right turbo when the time comes. no need to get ahead of your self yet.

in the mean time check out some of the resources on here, specifically the staged upgrade paths and free mods list as well as all the tech posts that interest you. Knowledge will make your car more powerful.

Gauge was mechanical.im using the turbosmart boost controller.Fuel pump is still stock thats why im only staying at 15lbs and the i TEE'd into the BOV to Manifold vacuum line for the boost gauge.i just want to upgrade up to a different turbo thats more effiecent for when i order my injectors and pump, what do ya'll suggest and WHY IS MY BOOST DROPPING FROM 15 TO 10-11PSI

you turned the boost down with a MBC???

I didn't think you could turn down boost with any controller. Only way you can go is up.

Try teeing it directly in from the IM. See if your gauge reads any better at all. Also is your IC piping stock because if it is i know for a fact a 2g setup will not hold anywhere past like 11 or so. I had a 20g with factory piping and due to the crappy setup and TERRIBLE stock BOV it wouldn't hold boost for anything. Soon as i went to a FMIC and a better BOV it held just fine at any number i wanted. Providing i had the fuel for it haha.

your must be getting false reading you get the best readings from up top were you see the little black cylinder looking thing with alot of hoses coming off of it.thats up on the driver side firewall.tee it there then see if it changes anything

A t-25 should not fall off that hard.

here is your to do list.

read some write ups on installing MBC's on this car in our tech section and be sure you have everything setup in a recommended way. could be somthing really simple.

I would change the location of your boost gauge T. some people T the bov line but i am not a fan of this. A good spot to T from would be off of the back of your intake manifold's break booster line or the correct line from the top of the throttle body. again check the write ups.

do you have access to an air compressor, because a boost leak test should be done by everyone who is looking to upgrade these cars. you will learn alot from it.
