I have a buddy that wants to get rid of his 1g Talon TSI auto. The tranny is gone and the computer is shot. How much should i give him. There is only 175000 kilometers which is about 109000 miles.

What do you guys think???

We really can't appraise a vehicle that we cannot touch, drive, see, etc.

Given that it doesn't run and would take quite a bit of money to get running again, assuming the engine is in decent condition and the rest of the body is in okay condition, no more than 1200.

I think that $1200 is even too much for that car. Unless the body and motor are mint, then $1200 is too much. You can get a good running 1g in good shape for about $2000 that doesn't need any work. I would only give him $500 tops with no tranny or ecu. Post up pics of it and mods to it if there are any.

I would give him a price based on the exterior of the car alone since it's missing trans and ecu. As stated above, 500 tops if it's mint, less than that if there's rust/dents or anything else that will take time or money to fix.

500-1000 depending on how clean the shell is and if it is complete or missing parts...

500 being not perfect, decent looking... missing some parts.

1000 if it is a clean shell, doesn't need bodywork, and he didn't rip stuff apart when it broke..

Here is the update... He says he wants to keep the stock rims and tires. The body is good. Here's a pic of her.
