Stainless Lines

Was wondering if i can order stainless lines and simply replace the old/crappy looking black lines that are easily visible when looking at the engine bay.Such as one of the lines (forgot the name) that comes off the top/left side of the head and goes to the intake. I was supplied a blue rubber line with my intake kit for this, and have seen many stainless lines on pictures from other members. How/what do i purchase to get this? and what other lines are common to replace with stainless lines?

Depending on what lines you're talking about, sometimes they come assembled as a drop in replacement....but most of us build our own lines. The most common ones to replace are fuel lines, the PCV lines, and turbo oil and/or water lines. Vacuum hoses are usually best left as rubber, due to the barb nipples they connect to and their size. The line you are referring to is the VC breather line, and is part of the PCV system.

Stainless lines use AN fittings...so you'll need to change the fitting that the line connects to as well as the line itself. This usually requires welding on an AN fitting, or changing out a stock connector with a bolt-on AN replacement.

BTW - Stainless lines and AN fittings are not cheap. Be prepared to spend a LOT of money if you plan on replacing very many of them.
