will this BOV work with the stock 2g set up

Hey guys just a quick question

looking at a JDM type RS BOV on ebay and im also looking at a flang for that BOV so it will hook right up to my stock upper IC pipe for my 95 GSX

im 99% sure that these two will bolt together and slide right in the slot for the BOV in my car -- just want to make sure before i bought the two of them

and if yes -- should i weld the two together? silicon? gasket?

ps and im trying to keep the price down -- im running stock boost and for future ideas for the car i may get near 16 ilbs but thats the highest ill ever go -- i like the power and the car running as is

That should work, one of those should come with a gasket as well.

Well I would never order a BOV like that ... You get what you pay for and when it will fall apart and go in your engine you'll be like Mmmm maybe I should have buy pack of smoke and not this crappy bov for the same idiot price ... Come on you can't get a good new product like a bov for 30$.

I would rather run a stock 2G leaky plastic BOV than that thing. Don't buy it, if you did already, send it back and buy a REAL one.

That adapter will work, I have the same thing on mine with the stock UICP. And I don't know about a $9 bov? I know you question wasn't about the quality of the BOV but if it is cheaper than the adapter it should tell you something about the quality put into it. I would recommend a 1g BOV. They are pretty inexpensive and work well.

i would run a leaky 2g bov as well but this thing wouldnt even hold 3 ilbs of pressure -- it was completely shot,, and glad the flang will work,, I was going to run a 1g bov but id have to buy a different upic pipe,, if the BOV i bought doesnt get this eclipse to my summer car then everyone can say i told you so - I have a buddy whose running a 35 psi evo and his daily driver is a 2g gst with this BOV on it -- said he s had no issues,,, so hey live and learn right

ill suck it up and post if it craps out on me
