starts after 3 trys

been reading different threads but no luck yet. i bought a 98 gst 3 months ago just a few weeks ago had problem with starting. it will start after 3 tries.. p1105 code came up took a look at my fps connector looks fine tested resistance on the fps. then i went to my coolant temperature sensor look really old so i replaced it.. it fixed the starting problem but now my fan does not turn on... so i put the old sensor back on... is there something im doing wrong? any help would be appreciated... tnx dsmers

It sounds to be like it's your battery. Id check that and the alternator or starter oh and make sure that power is not draining from somewhere when your not using the car.

Which sensor did you replace, 2g's have two. One that feeds the signal to the ecu and one that feeds the gauge. Check the fan relay, or just replace it. How to Test a Car Relay | eHow.com

tested battery and sarter works fine.

replace the one with double wires.. when i replaced the sensor it fixed my starting problem. took only one click to get it started.. but my fan would not turn on so put the old sensor back. thinking i did something wrong.
