ebay lower control arm?

hey guys, i need some opinions on this one. i always hesitate on getting ebay items. anyone have any experience with this brand? or from this seller?

My advice, having purchased eBay compression arms, is don't.
The bushings appear to be of enough quality, and the arm itself..is well...solid steel. No problems there.
It's the boot/balljoint I don't trust. The boots on mine started to crack within just a couple months. It's been over a year now and the boots haven't split open but that scenario is looming in the distance.

Buy Moog or OEM.
Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: why are you replacing your compression arms?

FYI, oem boots will fit the ebay control arms. If you do buy them, I recommend buying new oem boots and replacing them before they go on the car.

EDIT: why are you replacing your compression arms?

the bushing is cracked and theres some play in it i believe. the joints are bad.

my friend bought same control arms for a 97 2g, no problem whatsoever, just my .02

I'm glad there's folks out there who say their friends had no problems and that theirs are just dandy. But have you really cleaned off the boots and examined them with a flashlight/magnifying glass?
I'm just betting that all the boots crack eventually, whereas my OEM 120k old boots look new.

There's also the "knuckle kit" that gives you all OEM lower arms and the knuckle for just $120 or so per side. <---- cheap insurance. I'm kicking myself for not knowing about it when I purchased.

i have a moog on mine right now and the boot split a month later i was pissed, and the ebay compression arm i have is great. The reason for replacing them is the balljoints where out and the car shakes goin down the road most of the time. I buy the ebay control arms now and just order some dorman replacement boots and i have not had any problems so far ill check them tomorrow and let you know for sure
