Okay so lets start off with the car I have (97 GST Spyder )

At this point and time at warm up I have a mild tick, im believing its a sticky lifter.
Along with a lifter tick I have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Okay so I'd like so help overall I would like to spend around $1000 dollars in mods/fixes that will give me some gains and make it reliable. Ive got some new plugs on the way. What are some other things you recommend?

As of this point and time I have a 16g Turbo (TDO5H)
K&N Intake
Upper Innercooler Piping
GReddy BOV
3 inch Apexi Test Pipe Cat Delete W/Apexi GT Cat Back Exhaust.
GReddy Turbo Timer

I Run Nothing But Synthetic. I Have a 190 Walbro Fuel Pump at my house, and a S-AFCII But I need a harness (Hoping Someone Could Help Me With That)

Help Me Out Please!!! :D

um add some injectors in there so the 16g can reach its full potential, with the stockers you wont be able to push the boost much at all.

might as well go to the 650cc injectors because thats all the safc can handle. 190 should be fine for now.

okay run 660cc's with a 190 and shall I run a cut off switch or anything or not worry about it?

what are some other mods/reliable parts i should put on?

cut off switch?

please elaborate.

there are numerous things that you could do. 3" down pipe, cat back, your 2g manifold should be good you caould always port it out a bit. since your FWD some poly motor/trans mounts will work wonders.

a wideband and logger are a MUST.

I would get some bigger injectors at least 550CC, since you say you only wanna spend $1000 you can go to punishment racing and get some injectors for less then $300. They have alot of great parts there.

First mods should always be brakes, suspension, handling. You'll be amazed how much funner you car is to drive and how the added control makes it faster.

That said,

More air and fuel = More Power

bigger injectors (waste of money if you don't have a good way to tune it)

I'd sell the 190 and go to a 255 warlboro

Get an FPR (fuel pressure regulator)

+1 to the wideband, I prefer AEM

I think the best way to mod a car is to decide exactly where you want it to end (400WHP, 12 seconds, autocross, street killer, etc), make a list of all the mods it would take to get there. Come up with a plan for the work, then work the plan. This will save you from spending 1000s on upgrades you won't need or use or that you'll replace. Following this system seems to ALWAYS result in not only a much more complete build but is cheaper and more reliable in the end.

get a new o2 sensor $100
a wideband and logger $200-$500
new spark plugs and wires $60
fuel pressure regulator and a high flowing fuel filter $100-$300 (dont know if a fuel filter can be used without upgrading fuel lines to a -an line.

I'm assuming the spyder has the AWD rotors and 2 piston calipers up front because its the same unibody as the AWD. I'd check to make sure your stopping with 2 piston calipers.
Don't disregard your suspension either. I've upgraded my motor and suspension bushing's to polyurathane, and replaced my shocks with some kyb gr2 with tein lowering springs. The difference is night and day and if I had to do it all over again, id start with the handling side of things before power but I can't go threw an empty interstate on or off ramp with out having some fun. If you cant control your car its no fun to drive.

1:I would keep the 190 and rewire it, it will be plenty.
2:aftermarket clutch
3:bigger injectors(I like evo 580)
4:data logging is a must. wideband, and a logger.

Make sure you take care of your timing componets, if needed.

Use your pump or just go to a 255, might as well if you plan on going bigger sometime, plus they are cheap. Bigger injectors def. Port the manifold a little bit, obviously downpipe and exhaust. Use your safc 2 and you def want to invest in a wideband also. Tune is crucial good luck. You should be plenty happy with that for a little.

awesome feedback thank you everyone

okay I guesse I need to elaborate a little so i don't send to many people off track

Ive also got: Tokico Shocks W/ H&R Springs
18' Wheels w/low pro tires

ACT 2100 Clutch

Slotted Rotors

Okay with that said I love everything mentioned so I am gonna start making a list and go for it!

Iam gonna pick Road Race to take care of it and get parts from

if not road race any other suggestions?
