im looking for a wideband o2 sensor kit to go with my tunning package im putting together but ive been hearing things so i wanted to know what you all though about the following kits
i want actual facts and experience based comments not what you think. i hope to make this into a thread others can use in the future

also feel free to add any kits i may have missed.
the list is as followed:

AEM wideband 6 in 1 kit

PLX SM AFR w/PLX DM5 Gauge.

Innovate LC-1 Wideband Controller & Blue DB Gauge

What are you tuning with? If you are logging with something that has capabilities of serial input then AEM is generally going to be the cheapest and will get the job done with no need for something better.

If you can only use an analog output (dsmlink) then you need to go with a different gauge because the AEM is bothersome to make it work right that way.

I did not see the NGK AFX on your list, very accurate and durable setup and can use the NTK wideband sensor which is better quality, longer lasting sensor than the Bosch unit.

I do not like the AEM, have had lots of problems with them, sensors failure and guage failure.

Here's a link to a nice test that was done on some popular widebands. It gives a lot of good information:

A/F Meter Shootout

Basically Innovative came in 1st over AEM in 2nd. NGK came in last. Now that's not to say that all of these aren't good in some way. This article provides excellent information.

From the article,

"The PLX M300 does not include logging software, and exhibited accuracy at +/1 AFR" (the worst tested).

I do not understand how the PLX rates higher than the NGK when it has no logging software included and does not have an analog output for logging. Color me confused.

I use the NTK sensor on mine so results would vary. I would suggest the NTK sensor over the bosch sensor.

I like my AEM wideband other than having to fuss with getting the correct setting in dsmlink to log it.

The M300 does have an analog output for logging & is a very popular choice for many DSMLink/ECMLink users.

well although it is true the plx widebands dont have software the new plx module SM-AFR is pretty impressive and im pretty sure its not as bad as the old one and a lot more accurate.

im simply stuck between the plx and lc-1 at tha moment.

I ordered the Autometer WB kit. I will report back with the findings.
The only Downfall is that my car its not going to be up and runing this year ( LONG to do list )

You posted a copy of only half the article. What about page 2?

Wasn't it determined that, that 'shootout' should be taken with a grain of salt, as it was put on by Innovate? Or am I making that up?

i use the AEM uego w/ my dsm link v2 and i works fantastic. The innovative wideband has a bit less latency but for someone who sounds like they are getting to the point of needing a wideband it would be best to use something that youre going to be comfortable with. Something that you understand would be best. Do your research and pick up something that would suite you best. I'm sure everyone in here would agree that its better to buy something that you would benifit from rather than other peoples opinions. Good Luck Man.....

What does that mean?

I think he was asking for our opinions, that's why he posted a new thread on the same topic that's been covered plenty of times.
