is there way to change the automatic shifter and still have the overdrive button. i just think stock one looks like cr*p.

yeah but its gonna take a lot of work. just buy like a long aftermarket stick shift knob drill it out hollow cut a circle out of the top and that is your button. disassemble the stock shifter all you need is the white part that sits under the button and the over drive cables and linkage. then drill out another slot on the side for the O/D button and hot glue it (thats what me and my buddy did) all together. it was hard since we assembled it all in the car.

Check this out. I PM'd him and he said he wired his overdrive button up to an aux. switch somewhere else in the car.

I don't know if you like b&m ratchet shifters. I have 1, but modded.
I don't have a pic to send up, but can take 1 if requested.
Here's the mod. On the left side of the shifter, I tig welded an extra
gear lever with knob. I can change gears without the ratchet gate
stopping me between gears. If you ever get to handle one of them,
grab the cable conection bracket on the left & push it. It will move
through the gear clicks without the ratchet moving on the right side.
eg: I can pull it into 1st anytime with the left & then slam the right
ratchet lever forward to 2nd & can't miss a manual gear change.
I hope that makes sence & gives you a pic of how it works.
But you need a separate button for 4th wired from the std wiring.

I have a question. does anyone know how to wire the 3 wires that go to the overdrive button? I installled an aftermarket shifter and need overdrive. I need to either activate it and keep it on. Or I can put it on a toggle switch. anyone have any ideas? There is a black red and yellow wire.
