i have the holley 255 and im converting to the ss line up to the rail.. i want to put a inline pump is it worth it or is it worth just sticking with the a1000 or just putting a bosch inline pump in with a 255 intake?

i guess that woudl depend on your HP goals a 255lph is good to like 500hp+ if you plan on messing with E85 da corn juice :D anytime in the near feature then chuck the other one in there also

One thing to consider is which 255 you have, the regular or the 255hp or high pressure. You could see some benefit to putting another inline if you have the regular 255 because the regular 255 starts to lose alot of flow above 50 psi or so. Putting another inline would effectivly raise the pressure limit of the pump. The 255hp doesn't start to lose much pressure until like 90 psi though so if you have that one it would be a waste of time. I make 400 rwhp on my BMW with a regular 255

^ Would have been nice if they also tested at 14V.

That brings up the question of wiether or not your getting the full 14 volts all the way to the pump or not.

And what's the load on the engine at any particular time. People have tested their rewired fuel pumps at above 14V when idling, so I would imagine it would only drop in the 13s (at worst) under high loads. Of course it depends on the job done, but that graph only illustrates what would be seen without a rewiring done on the Wally, in general.

The benefit of putting pumps in series is that you can get higher pressures without dropping the flow. You can also get two different pumps, which is not advisable when in parallel.

In parallel you will get significantly more flow for any given pressure. How much power are you planning to make? The bosch pump can push a lot of juice!

Do you need a second fuel pump? If you're still using that 20g, then your 255 pump should be plenty.

But if you have a need for 2 fuel pumps, then go with the in-tank 255 feeding an inline Bosch 044. It's a much better set-up for a street driven car than the A1000 pump and it's cheaper.

We all know how "frugal" some of us can get. ;)

I'll have to throw up a picture of an STi OEM pump vs. a BG pump I have around somewhere.
