Can someone tell me if there is a giant o-ring on the HX35/40 compressor covers to seal? I see a groove on mine (below the snap ring groove and the step for the backplate) but no o-ring, and when I boost leak tested it sounded like it was leaking from the cover....
The OEM Holset oil feed fitting uses a rubber o-ring to seal to he CHRA. Does anyone use a rubber o-ring with their generic aftermarket male-male feed fitting? I had used a copper crush washer, not knowing an o-ring was supposed to be there.
Thanks

and now it leaks a bit from behind the cover. I don't think it makes that big of a difference though. It'll still take about 15-20 seconds to creep back down from 1.5 bar when I stick a pressure tester on it.
