Ok, so I installed my TB back into my car today. RPMs seem to be a little higher than usual about 1000-1200k. Some times when I press on the gas the tb seems to 'stick' or harder to open the first time, then its fine. Also, when im under the hood and push slightly on the tb the opposite way (closed) then try and open it again, it seems harder to open too. Do I have to mess with the adjustment screw or not? I dont know what wire comes off the IPS, there wasnt one when I took of my 2g tb to install this 1g tb. Any ideas?

You have to mess with the throttle stop. You can see the metal male spade sticking up above the top stud. You'll need to loosen the retaining nut that is on the switch, then thread the switch in just far enough that the throttle won't stick. If it's out too far, it will stick. The best way to test this is open it all of the way by hand (using the bracket where the cable mounts) and then let it slam shut. Then open it again. If it sticks, it still needs adjusted. After you move the switch in and out, you should be able to find the point where it is out as far as you can without having the throttle stick. Then tighten the nut down. Make sure to try and keep the switch in the same point as it will want to rotate slightly. Even the slightest movement in/out of it can change the point you worked hard to find.

Make sure to disconnect the throttle cable from its bracket before adjusting the stop. The TPS shouldn't be a problem leaving it bolted on.

And I'd say to put small zip ties on the caps to ensure no boost leaks :thumb:

Thanks for a great answer. That's why I love this fourm. You post a question and it gets answered fast and correctly buy someone who knows or has done it before. Once again thank you.
