ssac short route FMIC in a 1g

Has this been done before? Why wouldn't the piping for a 2g fit the 1g? are they that different? I am getting this real cheap and was wondering if someone had installed it before. I know someone did the long route on a 1g before, but I searched for the short route and found nothing. Thanks guys.

I believe where the inlet of the IC is the 1g has frame metal there. the 2g does not.

yeah its been done.. ive seen people buy the 2g short route and fit it to a 1g.. you have to remove alot of metal from the radiator support to get the hot side charge pipe to the intercooler though... if your up for it, i dont think i would be that hard..
