Hi, I recently pulled my engine and did a full rebuild and all that fun stuff. My question has to do with my AFPR. I cleaned my engine bay up, painted everything, tried to eliminate everything that wasn't necessary and i removed the little sensor things that the vacuum lines run to for a stock FPR. Are they necessary with an AFPR? Here's a picture just to clarify what I'm talking about because I'm having a hard time explaining it LOL. Thanks! :talon:

I makes cold starting easier. I topens the FPR vacuum/boost port to atmospheric pressure causing a higher fuel pressure. Which helps with filling the fuel rail faster and also a cold motor likes a little more fuel to idle.

Dsm-moster is correct, the solenoid opens vacuum from the brake booster when its cold out to raise the fuel pressure for a richer mixture, your AFPR does this for you, so I would say you wouldn't need it, its a small adjustment that you probably would notice anything different anyways either or, but I would keep it because its not going to hurt anything and it can really only help. Oh and this wont through codes so don't worry about that.

Thank you very much for your quick replies. I was thinking the same thing, but wanted to be sure. My Next question is which vacuum port on the intake manifold should i run the AFPR off of? If I'm not mistaken some of the ports wont show boost pressure. Which would throw my fuel pressure off under boost. I currently have it hooked up to the port that is right behind the fuel rail on the drivers side of the motor. Is this ok? Or should I be using a different one? Thanks! :talon:

I found the answer to my last question. Here's a picture just in case any one else would like to know. :talon:
