Stock BOV help

Hey guys this is my first post and I hope someone can help me out...I got a fix it ticket for modified emissions and after going to the state referee and getting my car smogged i need a stock BOV or i need to get my aftermarket BOV carb approved.

Does anybody know where i can get a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse gs-t stock BOV. or where to get mine Carb approved...

Wow, that must suck. I would NEVER live in CA unless my income was 7 figures.


Guys throw stock 2G BOV's away all the time. Why not look into something that is stock-appearing but will hold a lot of boost, like one from an Evo 9MR:

I doubt that would work because the state referee knows a lot about cars. I don't want to put a lot of money into my car so I am hoping that I can just get a stock 2g BOV put it on for the test and than put mine back on...I know someone who actually zip tied the stock BOV to his engine for the test then put his back on after.

If the state referee really knows his sh!t he'd know that zip ties don't hold boost.

I'll bet you could squeak through (no pun intended) if there's a Mitsubishi part number staring him in the face.

hahaha good point. I actually just called a place I found through the forums and they sell stock BOV's for 50 bucks so I guess im going to do that...wish me luck

thanks for the help for looking in the classifieds! i found two stock bov's already for 5 bucks each...the place that i called said 50 so im pretty sure id rather pay $5 than $50. I love this site already
