im looking around for an intake pipe. i found a cheap intake for around $40 including shipping and i found a weapon r intake for $180. which should i go with? one of those or another. what do u have and think is overall better performance and price?

Well, when I used to have a Honda a long with my other friends who still have honda's we found going name brand was better. Id say AEM or Injen Intake systems are a very good choice. The piping is made out of better material and filter as well. Also, they sound very nice!

Although on somethings brand names do make a big difference, from what I see in quality on intakes in turbo applications they make little difference. I have a Injen intake and a friend of mine bought a generic intake on ebay and they almost look identical without the injen stamp. Those are just my .02

well in my opinion i think you should go with the name brand, because with the little extra cash it makes a noticable difference. i dont know much about the weapon r, but i have a AEM on my N/T and it sounds great and the car runs much better. id go with an AEM if i was you.

He is a N/T,but I have to agree that the knock offs are comparing nicely these days.

ill probably get the ebay intake then. then get a k&n filter. i would think the generic pipes and name brand shouldnt have much differences unlike the filters. but id have extra money for more bolt on mods if i go that route.

The ebay buy will help ya save money to spend on other areas of the car. I have and Injen intake on my N/T and it sounds great. I dont really have any other opinions on intakes since they dont help out as much on a N/T as the would a turbo'd car.

I had a injen one on my gfs car an it sounded sweet, i thought it was good for the price but after all they all do about the same thing an this was before there were alot of cheaper brands.
