Any difference between the two given that both of them look the same. MAS #338 is from a 98+ Diamante 6G74.

I believe that the 2 are interchangeable. I had a failed mas (#609) in my 2G & ran a differently numbered used mas for a while with no issues until I eventually found another one to use permanently . . . :talon:

I have tested both while trying to verify that they were in good working condition and both seemed to be exactly the same to me.

They are the same. I think some of the 2g style mafs have a little cover that covers up some honey combs on the sides. But you just take the cover off and cut the plastic out and it flows just he same as the 609.

I tried a MAS with the wrong number on my 2g and all I had to do was change the plastic part that holds the honeycombs (had the side ones blocked off) and then my airflow readings and afr's were the same as with my original MAS. With the honeycombs covered -- 55 lbs/min airflow -- I WISH -- that'd be a lot better than my normal 40 lbs/min! You can either change the plastic piece (held by 4 screws) or cut it to uncover the honeycombs.
