Have anyone done the swap and have any good experience of it? Also, have anyone receive the ecu with their jdm nt 4g63?

I notice your car is a Galant GS. Is it truly the 7g Galang GS made only in 1994? If it is, then you yave a DOHC 4g64. Do Not take that engine out. Just turbo the car. A nice 14b or 16g, 2g exhaust manifold, down pipe, and all the rest of the fixins, and you have a nice turbo sedan. That's what I'm doing to my Galant after my 1g Eclipse is finished. :thumb:

Yes it is a 94 Galant GS. Most JDM NT 4G63 sold came from the NT Mitsu RVR with 158hp(160ps) running MAS #609, 240cc injectors, 10.5CR, and aggressive cams. I swap an Elantra(G4CN) 4G67 head and 1G IM/60mm TB onto my GS, along with "G" stamp cams. My compression is now 10.7CR. I'm more interested in the NT ECU since the GS ecu harness is the same as the Evo I-III and RVR.

Yes, they are but not many. Like 1000 or so produce and about 1% were auto. Try Car-part.com and search.

That's a different way to go to say the least. You should check out The Galant Center. There are tons of 7g's there as well. A lot has been done with the 4g64. People like the 4g64 because of the torque.

I have, I have been a member there for a few years. Turbo applications have been proved, NA application is a dying-breed. Just want to improve what the GS was meant to be: A sport performance NA sedan to compete against its I4 and V6 sedan rivals.

Yeah I bought one of these for my 1g N/T a few years ago, and it all went in well. I did end up turboing it about 2 months after but I had no problems with it. Do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Did yours came with the ecu?
