evo III 16g turbo on 14b housing

i recently bought a 16g and the bolts that bolt on to the manifold broke on to the turbo housing. i was wondering if i ported the 14b turbo housing will that be the same thing if i was to use the housing that came with the 16g and will it have any effect

Nope its just a little smaller. 7cm to 6cm. YOu will be fine

yeah i had all theinternals of a 16g in a 14 b housing and it was actually quite nice. no lag at all really.

It can be done because both turbine wheels are TD05H!

y dont u use send the turbine housing to the engineering shop, they can remove ## broken bolt

Not to beat a dead horse but does this mean that the exhaust wheels are all the same for 16g and 14b turbos? So the only part that's better about the E316G is the 7cm hosing(atleast on the hot side)? Thanks,

It has a slightly larger/lighter compressor cover.

The compressor wheel is dual fin.

The larger hotside helps with more top end flow at the cost of lag.

The 16G is an amazing little turbo the 14B is even close to the same level.

Ok that makes sense. Im thinking of doing the same thing while my E316G hot side is out getting jet hot coating, and i have a 14b laying around that needs a rebuild. So the E316G turbo with the 14b exhuast housing should keep me going for the 3 weeks im waiting for the coating.
