p-0335 crank position senor fault

Umm so driving yesterday in 2nd gear my RPM Surged from 3500rpm to about 8000rpm and then back to zero, shut the car down, and couldnt re-start. Service station plugged into my car today and came back with "p-0335 crank position senor fault" as a result.

They are looking into it tomorrow but does anyone know from experience already if that basically means my shit just crankwalked?

It would TRY to crank while starting and i didnt hear anything internal like tapping around or such but... just looking for some knowledgable help.

appears to be. i guess if it was crankwalk it wouldnt crank at all right

what I would say is try a new crank position sensor, or make sure it didn't come unplugged.

OP did you figure out what the problem was? I just had the same thing happen to me.
