I won the Boost gauge off ebay and to my surprise it has 3 wires, I was expecting just a positive and ground wire.

There is a red, black, and purple wire. The only thing I could think of is possibly a potentiometer or something for dimming, I have some 10k potentiometers from a project I did in the past, but im really just not sure what the proper way of wiring this gauge is.

interesting it has 3 wire. the ones ive isntalled with 3 wires are the ones with multi color, and one is connected to CONSTANT 12v so it remembers the color you used when you turn off the car so its the same when you turn it on again, and the other is the switched power, to wherever you want, parking lights, external switch etc, your call.

I got it wired up and it looks great once it lights up, however I expected a barb fitting that I could slip a vacuum hose over, instead it has a threaded fitting.

Does anyone know what I need to screw onto that threaded fitting. Also does anyone happen to know where I could order something like this? I checked eBay and found nothing.
