I have a 90 AWD. I picked up the kit off a person locally who never installed it for $260. I just got it done and havent taken any pics yet. The hardest part was getting the intercooler mounted at the right height for the pipe to sit inside the bumper and at the same time couple together right by where the stock smic was. I did it by myself though, so an extra set of hands would have helped out big time. I had to ditch the core support totally, there is no way around it with this kit, at least in a 1Ga. pics later today.

I havent boost leaked it yet, but Im getting serious fuel cut up around 15psi, I was wondering does a FMIC give you that much more air that I have to worry about it now? Again, I have to boost leak it.

Another thing is before with the sidemount I could hear my turbo spool/whine loud as hell at WOT, and now I really cant hear it at all.

If anyone can help with these minor problems that would be great. Again I will post pics later on, I will get good pics of the cutting and brackets I had to make. I was able to leave my oil cooler where it was, and I didnt have P/S to begin with, or an A/C condensor with lines to contend with. You also really have to change over to the 2G TB elbow to get the coupler to fit nice.

post some pics of your pipe routes. i just installed my evo 8 fmic on my 1g and i need to see how you got your piping ran from the drivers side. thanks

Did you do the boost leak test?. Spray some hairspray on the inside of the couplers. when it dries it will keep them from popping off
